WHY YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO HAVE THOSE ADVENTURES
I ended my last blog by saying that I was glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone while I was able to physically do so. It was with that in mind that I agreed to go wild river swimming with the farm owners's daughter, Rose. She took me to an area of the River Stour she knew well. She had spent many summers growing up swimming in that part of the river and jumping in from a bridge that spanned it. We had such an exhilarating time jumping in from the bridge (having checked and checked again, that it was safe to do so, no strong currents, no debris and it was very deep.) I have to admit to feeling very nervous but I wanted to push myself to overcome my fear and to say yes more and I am so glad that I did. It took me back to my childhood days when we would go to Wales on holiday and swim in the local rivers, even when they were freezing cold. We had hours of fun building dams across those rivers.
